Recommendation
Recommendation for Serhiy Verbicki from a member of the NUUA since 1992 (Membership No. 3270), Honored Artist of Ukraine, Head of the Poster and Graphic Design Section of the KONUUA, and Candidate of Art Studies, Andriy Viktorovych Budnyk.
I, Andriy Viktorovych Budnyk, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, am well acquainted with the long-standing artistic activity of Serhiy Verbicki through his active participation in exhibitions held in the halls of the Directorate of Exhibitions of the NUUA and his publications on social media.
He has established himself as an artist well-versed in the canons of art and design, a thoughtful researcher and analyst, and a keen observer of innovative fields of art that have previously been underappreciated and insufficiently explored in the broader domain, such as artificial intelligence.
His efforts in preserving Ukraine's poster heritage also deserve public recognition, particularly given the urgent need for cultural identification in the face of opposition from the aggressor country in the present times.
The artistic heritage of his family, his higher education, and his creative and scholarly contributions provide confidence that he is not only worthy of membership in the National Union of Artists of Ukraine but will also make a significant contribution to the activities of the Poster and Graphic Design Section of the Kyiv Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

For Serhiy Verbicki
I have the honor to recommend Serhiy Verbicki, a unique artist whose multifaceted talent has manifested in various fields of art. His artistic journey began in early childhood when he worked under the guidance of his grandfather, Honored Artist of Ukraine Heorhiy Verbicki, which provided him with a strong foundation for further development and realization in many forms and directions of art. Serhiy began exhibiting his works at the age of 7, and since then, he has repeatedly proven his mastery in public, working in painting, graphics, ceramics, photography, graphic design, web design, and creating sound and video installations.
His experience includes participating in the painting of 10 cathedrals, exhibiting in Ukraine and abroad, as well as organizing an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heorhiy Verbicki at the Taras Shevchenko National Museum.
A particularly awe-inspiring project of his is Life by the Fire, which Serhiy Verbicki began during the full-scale war while in occupation. The texts and works in this project demonstrate the author's life philosophy, his deep sense of the wholeness of the human world and the forces of earth, fire, water, air, and metal, revealing the unity of the macrocosm and microcosm. The artist embodies the profound emotional experiences of wartime through the language of the earth itself—clay, which fires, swells, cracks, but retains its resilience and essence of form. One of his ceramic cups became the highest-selling lot at a charity auction in London to support Ukrainian medics.
Beyond his own artistic practice, Serhiy Verbicki is an active participant in the Ostriv scientific-artistic platform, where he explores modern technologies and methods of artist collaboration. He is also developing the Art Manager program based on artificial intelligence. He defines his creative direction as Primeval Minimalism, striving to see the world through the experience of an early human. His works are always filled with symbolism and an impressive combination of contemporary and traditional art, as demonstrated on his personal website.
